One of seven children, I followed other members of my family into an undergraduate degree at Monash University. My scant attendance did not stop me from finishing my degree and then working at Monash for three years. I have since gone on to work at other education institutions in various roles including project management, teaching and student support. I returned to Monash in 2015 to undertake a PhD in Education. I pursued a place on MPAEC because I feel I have a lot to offer the postgraduate community and would like to give as many people as possible the ability to make Monash a thriving, exciting place to be a postgraduate student.

My research focuses on how qualifications are recognised internationally. It looks at the problems that immigrants face, particularly in trades related occupations, when they attempt to have their skills and knowledge recognised in another country.

Personal interests

These days my interests are suitably more postgraduate than undergraduate. I love reading, writing, and going for a long run.
